Why and how can SHARE.IT support regional cooperation?

“At the present time we have well entrenched existing networks of information sharing within the different sectors in the region, but not much of a mechanism to share information between the different sectors – between immigration, customs, police, fisheries, etc. SHARE.IT offers an opportunity for those existing organisations and networks to utilise their existing systems to talk better with each other, and that will be a major accomplishment for the Pacific region – to finally be able to have that capability of sharing across different platforms.”
