IORIS, a secure web platform for information sharing, collaboration and incident management at sea is fully operational and utilised by 2 regional maritime centres (RMIFC & RCOC), 5 western Indian Ocean countries, and the membership is growing daily. The duplicate training platform is widely used and currently the primary communications tool for US Navy led Cutlass Express exercises in the region.

This video focuses on Phase II development of IORIS based on regional feedback with version 2.0 expected to be launched 3rd quarter 2019:

David Nattrass, IORIS project manager/EU CRIMARIO Information Sharing Manager provides an overview of the next phase and emphasises the process for the handover of ownership to the Indian Ocean Commission (IOC) on behalf of the region.

Stephen Harris, CEO of Polymorph, talks about the commitments of his experienced and dedicated team when developing IORIS, and his approach to integrating both the user feedbacks and the specificity of the region.

Ronny Matatiken, Deputy Director of RCOC, Seychelles, presents how the regional needs were taken into account with direct collaboration from the initial phase to the present, and the added value of such a tool for the centres as part of the maritime security architecture.
